The Donors Behind DAFs

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are rapidly becoming a cornerstone of philanthropic giving. Understanding DAF donors is essential for nonprofits that want to grow DAF contributions and build lasting relationships with people giving through a DAF. Recent studies provide some new insights into the people behind DAFs, which your nonprofit can use in your fundraising efforts. These studies include the 2024 National Study on Donor-Advised Funds by the DAF Research Collaborative (based on the most recent three year period ending in 2022, and on 2,100 responses to a survey) and the 2024 DAF Report by the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT).
