About: Repowered, (Formerly Tech Dump and Tech Discounts), is an industry leader in electronics recycling and refurbishing. We're one of the largest collectors of e-waste in the state of Minnesota.
In addition to our proven track record of providing seamless electronics recycling services for businesses and organizations of all sizes, we are also a social enterprise that provides jobs and training for persons facing barriers to employment. We believe that everything and every person has value.
We prioritize an important environmental and social mission. We do not ship unprocessed items overseas; all ready-to-be-recycled devices—including CRTs—are processed right here in the United States.
We undergo an annual R2 certification—one of the few recyclers in Minnesota to receive this certification, thanks to a rigorous third-party audit of all processes and procedures.

Heather Walch
CEO
Heather Walch is a mission-driven leader focused on social enterprise, innovation, and community impact. With experience across both global corporations and non-profits, she brings a unique blend of business strategy, technology expertise, and commitment to people. Heather built her foundation in chemical engineering and business leading customer solutions and new business development in major companies including GM, P&G, Siebel Systems, and H.B. Fuller.
Her transition into community impact work began through board leadership at The Bakken Museum, where she eventually served as Board Chair and Interim President, stabilizing finances and strengthening culture during a time of significant transition.
Today, as CEO of Repowered, a mission driven electronic recycling enterprise creating job pathways for adults re-entering the workforce while promoting the circular economy, Heather unites technology, workforce development, and environmental stewardship. She is deeply committed to advancing organizations that create opportunity and measurable social impact.
Jay Grossman
Director of Talent
Jay holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has built a career grounded in education, mentorship, and second-chance workforce development. As a justice impacted individual, he utilized his time to work as a Literacy Tutor in Adult Basic Education, facilitated psycho-educational programming within behavioral health units and Supportive Living Units, and mentored peers as a graduate of the Prison Fellowship Academy. Since his release, Jay has held multiple leadership roles across both for-profit and non-profit organizations, and continues to give back through volunteer work with mental health, chemical dependency programs, and various 2nd chance coalitions. Today, Jay serves as the Director of Talent at Repowered, where he leads a team dedicated to providing meaningful work opportunities and real-world skill development for individuals facing barriers to employment.
