Suzanne Singer

Dr. Suzanne Singer (Diné) co-founded Native Renewables (NRI) in 2015 with a vision to provide affordable battery-based solar energy access for tens of thousands of Hopi and Navajo families who live without electricity. NRI installs residential off-grid solar energy solutions while growing a local workforce. Prior to leading Native Renewables as Executive Director, Singer was a staff engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. She was a 2021 Echoing Green fellow, and the winner of the 2019 U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Entrepreneurship Award. She was also featured in the book, “Everyday Superheroes: Women in Energy Careers.” She earned a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, and a BS from the University of Arizona.
Chelsea Chee
Deputy Director
Chelsea Chee is Diné (Navajo) is the Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer for Native Renewables Inc. She has a background in non-profit work, facilitation, and community planning. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona.
